This little place is amazing. We found this while we were at UCSF hospital by accident. Best accident we found. Anytime we travel to SF we eat here. The freshness is unmatched. The topping selection is amazing. The type of burgers... so good. Do not pass this place up. It's a hidden Gem.

Great burger spot in the Inner Sunset. You can top your own burgers which is something I like because it's great to be able to customize. We previously tried their fried chicken and it was decent tho I prefer their burgers more. Small restaurant. Service was pleasant. Close to Golden Gate Park, DeYoung museum, Japanese Tea Garden, etc.

Great classic burger place! I honestly loved that you can build your own burger with the toppings bar and the fries were great. I needed to use the restroom and wasn't expecting them to let me since it's through the kitchen but the man working was really nice and let me use it.

Not sure why this place has such low reviews, came here on Monday noon and had a great meal! The inside is super small with no restroom, so just fyi, I had to run across to the bakery. Most people order to go since there's not much room inside. We got lucky and was able to sit at one of the 2 tables with our party of 4. The condiments and burger ingredients is self-serve, so we loaded our own burger with lettuce, pickles, and all the other fix ins. They also had tomatoes, onions, and other things. They also had multiple kinds of sauces; ketchup, mayonnaise, and a dressing that looked like their own burger sauce, tasted similar to that of in n out. My only complaint was that our orders took a veeeery long time, but it was definitely worth it and the waitress was super helpful when I requested an extra box to pack my leftover fries since my original box was all wet from my burger. - hamburger (5/5): This reminded me of the double double at in n out; a simple no frills burger, after being drenched in the burger sauce was booomb.com! - sweet potato fries (5/5): Your usual sweet potato fries, perfect amount of crisp and sweet potato for each one Overall a super solid burger place, employees are all wonderful; minus the wait we will definitely be back soon!!

I've always walked by this place when I'm in the area but was always occupied by other events. I was craving burgers, and decided I've had to try this place(finally)! It's a pretty small shop, it has a classic burger joint vibe to it which I really liked. The employees were very friendly, and the food came out perfect. I ordered the avocado bacon cheeseburger, patty was seasoned well and cooked the medium rare. Bacon was crispy, and my favorite part is the self serve bar with fresh veggies and condiments! I been to many burger spots in SF, this spot is definitely one of my favorites, will definitely comeback.

A small shop on Irving St that does burgers right! My avocado bacon burger came out after a small wait, so you know it's freshly cooked, with a nice flame grilled flavor to compliment the bold bacon and mellow beefiness. Once you get your meal you can choose your own adventure on condiments and toppings, getting your burger just how you like. The onion rings were also super crispy, not too oily and a very satisfying side. Personal Rating: 7.5/10, A solid satisfying burger stop

This is clearly the best burger joint in the neighborhood and just as clearly my favorite in the city. I love everything about it, but here are some highlights. First and most obvious, the burgers are on-point, flame-broiled on an ingenious swiveling cast-iron grill apparatus, served just a bit on the rare side of medium (love it - so juicy and flavorful), and the condiments/fixins are both free and self-applied. I love this last bit because I hate condiments and mayonnaise above all else, and I am guaranteed not to have this on my burger. Second, their milkshakes are excellent. I'm not talking about fancy (if you want fancy, there's a lovely ice cream parlor across the street), but just of generally high quality. For example, the chocolate shake is exactly what it should be - creamy, good flavor, good texture. And, really, that's the bottom-line of this place: basic stuff done exceptionally well. Third, these folks are fast. If I order on the phone, I barely have time to savor a wee dram of whisky before I need to head over to pick up my food. If there is a downside, it is the fries. They are just okay. But allow me to argue that this is not actually a downside. You don't need the fries. If you think that one of these robust, juicy burgers won't be enough to sate your (perhaps whisky-enhanced) appetite, order another patty on your burger. You'll love it all the more.
